Educational Background

I am a Board Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist with training in women's general health, pregnancy, labor and delivery, postpartum care, cancer screening, management of hormonal disorders, treatment of infections and in gynecologic surgery.

Professional Goals

I am committed to providing you the highest quality care, putting your best interests and concerns first. I will strive to provide you prompt and accurate communication.

Since your health is important, I want to help you take an active role in your care. Treatment options will be discussed and your questions answered. It has been my practice to talk about conservative options first and recommend surgery after these options have been discussed. If procedures are necessary the risks will be discussed thoroughly so that I may address any areas that are of concern to you.

Personal history

I was born and raised in the “Motor City,” Detroit, Michigan. I attended the University of Michigan for my medical school training. After graduation, I did my internship and residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. After finishing my residency, I decided that private practice and the headaches of running one were not for me. I found the opportunity to practice medicine without the hassles of office management too good to pass up here at Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento allowing me to focus on the patient, not the paperwork.

Practicing Medicine at Kaiser Permanente

Since joining the Kaiser Permanente medical group in 1980, I have seen our medical group grow both in membership and quality - becoming one of the leaders in health care. I would like to think that the care that I have given my patients over the years has contributed to the group’s success.

Working at Kaiser Permanente Sacramento affords me the opportunity to focus on the care of my patients without the worry of running a business. My colleagues are available to me whenever needed for consultation. In addition, I enjoy working in a setting associated with a university and resident training program. Training students and residents is like raising children, you impart knowledge and learn along the way.
