My Philosophy of Care

Having been a physician with The Permanente Medical Group and working for Kaiser Permanente ever since I moved to this great state of California, I am truly convinced that the way we practice medicine at Kaiser for all our members should be the practice model for the nation. I am committed to treat each new patient as if he were a member of the family and make sure they receive the best care available. We need to be trusting of each other as we discuss and plan your upcoming treatments.

The Mohs team is a very closely-knit group of very dedicated workers. We spend more of our waking days with each other than we do with our families so we have agreed to work together as a family. It think it shows when you see a very busy group of doctors, clerks, histotechs and assistants still able to laugh at a good joke and be able to really get to know each patient who comes through the door. We hope this spirit is visible to you on your visit and want to make that visit as informative, as friendly and as supportive as possible.

Mohs can be a bit unpredictable as far as timing, so plan on spending the better part of a day with us. Bring a good book, bring some snacks, and bring a friend. The waiting room tends to get pretty full, but everyone seems to enjoy meeting others here for the same procedure. I like to talk with my patients and get to know them, so be prepared! Some topics which are always favorites include stories about children, grandchildren and pets, gardening, travel, opera, current events, ‘Survivor’, cooking, favorite restaurants, and hobbies, to name a few. See you soon!
