Treatments for Behavior Problems
A variety of behaviors can be really problematic in Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias. These include agitation, combativeness, hallucinations, incontinence, sleeplessness and sundowning, as well as many others. Some good tips for dealing with these problems can be found in the "Living with Alzheimers" section on the Alzheimer's Association web site.
Medications may also be needed to treat these symptoms if non-medication treatments are not effective.
