CPR, First Aid, and Safety
Know what to do, and when. Two separate courses are offered, with certification included. The CPR course teaches you how to administer CPR to adults, children, and infants; certification is good for one year. The First Aid and Safety course prepares you for respiratory or cardiac emergencies, sudden illness, and injuries to infants, children, and adults; certification is valid for three years

American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support
Join others for a single-session class in CPR skills. Appropriate for medical health professionals and students only. Open to the community.

Family Safety: CPR, First Aid, and Health and Safety Classes
Learn how to handle family emergencies, illness, and injuries. Three separate classes are offered: CPR, First Aid, and Health and Safety. Topics include adult, child, and infant CPR; choking; preventing injuries; and controlling infectious diseases. Classes are EMSA-approved and meet licensure requirements
for child-care providers.

Pediatric First Aid and CPR
Learn how to save a child from choking, bleeding, shock, and illness. Find out how to assess the severity of an injury, how to administer CPR, and more. This course meets requirements for foster-adoptive parents and teaching credentials, and is EMSA-approved for child care providers. Open to the community.

Preventive Health Practices
Keeping a safe and healthy child care facility can be child’s play. In this course you’ll learn about communicable diseases, playground safety, sanitary food preparation, exclusion policies, and more. A reference manual is included. EMSA approved for seven hours. Open to the community.
