The Kaiser Hayward Hospice Program offers bereavement services to Kaiser members and the community:

Grief Support Group
When we experience loss, it’s sometimes hard to understand all that we’re feeling. Our support groups can help. Open to all adults.

Surviving Grief Through the Holiday Season
When you’re dealing with a loss, the winter holiday season can be difficult. We offer this special presentation every year for just that reason. Join us to discuss survivalstrategies, coping, and places to turn for more help, all in a supportive group environment.

~ Dates/Time: One session, two hours; call for specific dates and times.

Hospice Services
The Kaiser Permanente Hayward–Fremont Hospice Program offers an alternative to traditional medical care at the end of life—a multidisciplinary approach that focuses on providing comfort. Hospice offers medical and nursing services, spiritual and emotional support, and access to massage therapy. Bereavement support is offered to survivors. For members only. Advance Directives Self-Help option
Find out how to express your health care wishes with an advance health care directive. Videos, booklets, and forms are available in the Health Education Centers to help you complete the form on your own.

Express Your Wishes: The Advance Directives Class
An advance directive lets you give instructions about future medical care, explain your wishes, and designate someone you trust to make decisions for you in the event you are too ill to speak for yourself. Forms are provided, along with guidance on how to use them.

~ Dates/times: Offered quarterly. One two-hour session; call for dates and times
