American Diabetes Association

American Dietetic Association — Eat Right America

This program is part of the The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) web site. An interactive guide for those wanting to lower cholesterol levels and reduce heart disease risk.

A U.S. government gateway web site for health information. Resource lists and links to health related discussion and support groups, publications, medical journals, news, and government and non-profit health agencies.
Kaiser Permanente Public Web Site
The national public web site with information on our health plans in 18 states and the District of Columbia. Includes press releases, health tips, and information on accreditation and Permanente Medicine.
KidsHealth
A site devoted to the health of children and teens. An interactive and fun way to learn about health. There are sections for kids, parents, and professionals. Includes games, publications, health and medical information, animations of how the body works and much more.
Mayo Health Oasis
A huge library collection of health information. Truly an "oasis". Includes articles, reports, interactive components, and sections on cancer, diet and nutrition, heart health, and Women's Health Source, just to name a few.
Mental Wellness.com
Information for patients, families, and caregivers related to all aspects of mental wellness. Current and archived news stories with the latest in research, treatment, and social trends. Reference sections and a searchable database with common terms, overviews and other Web resources on many mental illnesses.
National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine
Information on complementary and alternative medicine, what it is, what treatments are available, how to evaluate CAM research, etc.
National Library of Medicine-Medline
The National Library of Medicine's MEDLINE database of more than 8.8 million references to articles published in 3800 biomedical journals, may now be accessed free of charge on the World Wide Web. It is a bit tricky to figure out how to do a good search, but once you get it down you have a wealth of information available to you.
New England Journal of Medicine
An online weekly journal, reporting the results of important medical research worldwide. The Journal is owned and published by the Massachusetts Medical Society. Search past issues, week-to-date journal additions, or special selected collections. This site is intended for medical practitioners so it is very technical.
Oncolink
This is probably the most referenced oncology site on the web. Covers current cancer research, journal articles, psychosocial support, patient information on all types of cancer, and much more. Based at the University of Pennsylvania.
Parent Soup
An incredibly comprehensive site for parents. Discipline, divorce, guidance, support, adoption, step families, toddlers, teens, infants... something for everyone. Discussion groups and chats on a laundry list of parenting topics, a library with fact sheets, other resources on the web for kids and parents if there's not enough here!

Renowned education resources for women, men, parents, youth, and health professionals. Your online source for sexual and reproductive health information.Extensive indexed listing of related web sites.

A national non-profit organization whose mission is to build a community of computer-using seniors. Join roundtable discussions on all kinds of topics.
Smoking Cessation: Quitnet

The Physician and Sports Medicine
