Welcome to the Kaiser Permanente Department of Psychiatry Home Page at Fremont. We are located at the Niles Building, on the southern edge of the Fremont Medical Center.

Here you will find information about some of the programs we offer, how to set up an appointment, how to find us, and other information about our services and clinicians.

If you are new to our department, or have not been seen in our department in over two years, you can request an appointment by calling our Immediate Service Team at the telephone number above between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays.

When you call to make a new appointment in our department you will speak with a member of our Immediate Service Team. The Immediate Service team provider is a therpist who will gather information from you so that they can select the therapist and/or therapy program best suited to your individual needs. They will then help you set up an appointment for a thorough evaluation and development of a treatment plan.

We provide clinic based psychiatric services for adults, teens, and children. We also provide drug and alcohol recovery services at the Union City/Hayward site. Below you will find the links to our services at both the Union City/Hayward and Fremont offices.

There is always a mental health professional available on call, 24-hours per day, seven days per week for emergencies.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
