Health Education Resource Library: Two North

Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Santa Teresa has a library especially designed for use by Kaiser Permanente members. There are hundreds of free pamphlets on a variety of health topics. In our library, we have reference books and articles, book and video collections for rental or sale, fitness gadgets, and internet access to health related information. Health Education Staff and volunteers are available to assist you with your questions and concerns.

Library Lending Procedures - Santa Teresa

Our Health Education Centers offer a wide selection of videos and books for lending.

How many items can I check out?

  • You can check out up to three items per week

How long can I keep these items?

  • Videotapes . . . . . . . . . . 1 week
  • Books . . . . . . . . . .. . . . 1 week

Is there a rental fee?

  • No, there is no rental fee, but there is a required deposit to borrow items. Book deposits are $50.00 per book and vidoes are $100.00 per video. The deposit is returned upon item return.

Will I be responsible for damage to books and / or videos?

  • Yes, the cost of the damage will be deducted from the deposit, up to the full cost of the item.

When do I return the materials I borrowed?

  • 2 North Center between 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
  • Health Education Resource Center Monday through Friday. Drop slot available 24 hours.

What if I want to renew the materials?

  • If more time is needed, you can renew once.
  • Come in or call us at (408) 972-3340 or (408) 972-6975 to renew.

What happens if the materials I borrowed are not returned on time or are damaged?

  • Your security deposit will be processed within one week. Also, a member’s borrowing privileges can be suspended.
