Welcome to the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Santa Clara Medical Center. We provide the full spectrum of plastic surgery services including breast surgery, hand surgery, reconstructive surgery of the face, extremities, and trunk as well as subspecialty care in the fields of craniofacial surgery and microsurgery. All of our surgeons and Physician Assistants are qualified in their fields and have training and experience to care for a wide variety of plastic surgery problems. We are the largest Plastic Surgery specialty department in the northern California Kaiser system, and we frequently receive referrals from throughout the region. Our providers also perform a variety of cosmetic surgery procedures on a fee-for-service basis at our Cosmetic Center in San Jose.

In August of 2005, the department opened the division of Maxillofacial Surgery, which cares for patients with jaw/dental/mouth concerns. This specialty also provides service to patients from a broad geographic area. Prior to the development of this service at Santa Clara, Oakland Kaiser was the only facility in northern California to provide Maxillofacial services. Our patients may now be treated closer to home.

In November of 2005, the Plastic Surgery department at Santa Clara was nominated and awarded the prestigious Exemplary Department award. This award is given to a different department every year and it is a great achievement. It recognizes the Plastic Surgery department's work to deliver excellent service and its ability to make a difference to Kaiser Permanente members and the communities we serve. The Plastic Surgery department continues to be a top performer in ongoing patient satisfaction surveys as well as timely access to appointments. We are committed to providing our patients with excellent care and service and hope that all of our patients' needs are met.

We are located on the second floor at our new medical office building at the corner of Lawrence Expressway and Homestead Road in Santa Clara.

Please note that appointments are by referral only. For appointments, please call (408) 851-2000. One of our friendly staff will gladly assist you with your scheduling needs.
