OUR DEPARTMENT

Kaiser Occupational Health provides comprehensive, high quality workers compensation injury and illness treatment and other employment related medical services.

The Occupational Health Center is staffed with Occupational Medicine and Emergency Medicine physicians, a psychologist, an Occupational Health Nurse Case Manager and onsite Physical Therapy services.

We offer special classes and services in ergonomics, back care, stress and coping skills, and repetitive strain/ cumulative trauma injuries for injured workers. In addition we have a unique Delayed Recovery Center designed to treat injured workers who do not respond to appropriate conventional medical treatment, and to facilitate their return to productive employment.

We are committed to providing the highest quality compassionate services to all our customers. We do listen and welcome comments/suggestions from all of our customers.

HOW TO GET CARE

All injured workers, including Kaiser Health Plan members, are eligible to use our services under their employer's workers compensation insurance unless the employer has designated another 30-day provider. Injured workers and/or their employers can call to schedule an appointment in the Occupational Health Center.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
