Welcome to Kaiser Permanente Petaluma Pediatrics!

Petaluma Pediatricians
Janet Coyne, John Dahmen, Carol Ekelund
Nathan Hirsch, Donald Hensley, Lindsey Yeats

Thank you for choosing Petaluma Kaiser Pediatrics as the medical home for your children. Petaluma consistently ranks in the very top tiers of pediatric departments and we are looking forward to meeting your health care needs in both quality and service. Our clinic is one of 4 locations of the San Rafael Kaiser Pediatrics Department. Our physicians and staff are committed to providing you and your family with a superior health care experience. Please let us know how we can meet that goal together!

Service and Quality Are Our Goals!

Here in Petaluma, we want to provide personalized care, professional service, leading-edge technology, and excellent coordination of your care experience to achieve the highest quality. This means that every child should have their own regular pediatrician with whom they will normally see for most appointments and with whom you can build a strong and positive connection. We make it a priority for you to see your own physician whenever possible. If your child needs to be seen on a weekend or holiday, we urge you to seek care at the San Rafael Kaiser Hospital, with whom we are affiliated, although you can, of course, go to any Kaiser facility you choose. We make use of the premier industry technology to facilitate unparalleled care coordination and sharing of health information in a safe, secure, and efficient manner. Benefits gained are easy access to subspecialists, ePrescribing (shorter wait-times), and member-controlled eServices (prescription refills, appointment scheduling, and secure email with your doctor). To learn more about these exciting benefits, please ask your doctor. We hope that you will fully enjoy and participate in your child’s good health as we work together and thrive!

Helpful Tips:

• Activate your full member online services at www.members.kp.org to be able to securely email your child’s doctor, make appointments, obtain prescription refills, choose a personal physician and much more!
• Schedule appointments such as sports and camp physicals well in advance (6 weeks) to increase the likelihood of seeing your personal physician. You can do this online via your doctor’s website www.kp.org/mydoctor at any time of the day.

Thank you for choosing us to be your child's health care provider, and for being our partner in promoting good health and well-being!

Marin and Petaluma Teens Since teens are not able to email their doctors directly through this website, we wanted to provide you with an easy way to access our clinic and doctors. We now have a CONFIDENTIAL TEEN PHONE LINE for teens from Marin and Petaluma. If you have a confidential question or need information on pregnancy counseling, birth control, or STDs (sexually transmitted diseases), please feel free to call and leave a message with your cell phone number and a good time we can reach you and we will get back to you ASAP. There is someone available to answer your questions or book you a CONFIDENTIAL TEEN appointment Monday-Friday from 9AM to 5PM. (Remember these phone numbers are NOT for emergency situations. If you are experiencing a medical emergency you need to call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.)
