American Academy of Sleep Medicine

American Academy of Sleep Medicine- professional society that is dedicated exclusively to the medical subspecialty of sleep medicine.

Sleep Education- is a public education website from American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine- is the official publication of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies, LLC.

Certification Boards

American Board of Sleep Medicine (AASM)- administered a certification examination and issue certificates of special knowledge in sleep medicine to physicians and PhDs in related fields.

American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) - sets the standards and certifies the knowledge, skills and attitudes of physicians who practice in Internal Medicine and its subspecialties.

American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (ABDSM) -promotes research and the clinical use of oral appliances and upper airway surgery for the treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders (SBD) and provides training and resources for those who work directly with patients.

American Board of Phychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) - is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the public interest and the professions of phyciatry and neurology by promoting excellence in practice through certification and maintenance of certification processes.

Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT)- is an independent, non-profit certification board that seeks to cultivate the highest professional and ethical standards for polysomnographic technologists by providing an internationally recognized credential.

American Association of Sleep Technologist- is a national health care membership association of professionals dedicated to improving the quality of sleep and wakefulness in all people.

Restless Leg Syndrome- The goals of the Foundation are to increase awareness, improve treatments, and through research, find a cure for RLS, a condition which severely affects the lives of millions of individuals.

American Sleep Apnea Association- is a non profit organization that is dedicated in educating the public about sleep disorder.

Awake in America- is a national non-profit Pennsylvania corporation focused on sleep and sleep disorder issues.

American Insomnia Association- is a patient-based organization that is dedicated to assisting and providing resources to individuals who suffer from insomnia.

Narcolepsy Network- is a national patient support organization that is dedicated in educating, informing, and providing support and resource to patients, family members and friends.
