Play Around the Bay! Get Healthy and Fit in 2008!

FUN WAYS FOR FAMILIES TO GET HEALTHY & FIT IN 2008

Ideas for the Families of Kaiser Permanente Greater Southern Alameda Area

Do you wish that you and your family were more active, and perhaps ate healthier? Now is the time to make the time for fun activities for yourself, your children, and your entire family.

Obesity in both children and adults has become a major epidemic in our country, but we can stop this by making important lifestyle changes. Exercise and eating healthy can be fun (and inexpensive) for the whole family! Think about the physical activities you and each person in your family enjoy, and then make sure you add them to your busy schedule at least a few times a week.

You will find a variety of activities and classes for both you and your children within this guide. There are so many beautiful sites to see in the Bay Area, so get outside and hike, bike, walk, run--whatever your preference, you can make exercise fun and learn more about our unique cities and towns in the process!

*Join East Bay Regional Park District and Kaiser Permanente in their goal to help children and families get in shape and adopt healthy lifestyles in 2007! To learn more about this, you can log onto Kaiser Permanente at www.kp.org, and East Bay Regional Park District at www.ebparks.org.
