  • Due to the unprecedented demand for vaccinations by Kaiser Permanente members, we are out of H1N1 injectable vaccine.

  • We have a limited supply of the following flu vaccine: injectable seasonal flu vaccine, seasonal FluMist and H1N1 FluMist.

Seasonal Flu Vaccine: (very limited supply)
We can vaccinate members who meet these criteria:

  • 6 - 35 months old (injectable flu vaccine)
  • 4 - 18 years old (injectable flu vaccine)
  • 2 - 49 years old who have no chronic conditions and are not pregnant (FluMist only)

H1N1 Vaccine (only H1N1 FluMist is available).
We can vaccinate members who meet these criteria:

  • 2 - 18 year olds; with no chronic conditions and are not pregnant (H1N1 FluMist only)
  • 19 - 49 year olds; healthcare worker (direct patient care, inpatient, medicine clinic, pediatric clinic, ED, and urgent care clinic), or members who live with or care for infants younger than 6 months old. (H1N1 FluMist only)

H1N1 Flu Mist can not be given if you have a chronic condition or if you are pregnant.

2009 H1N1 FluMist is a live attenuated (weakened) influenza virus (LAIV). You should not get 2009 H1N1 LAIV if you have a severe (life-threatening) allergy to eggs, or to any other substance in the vaccine. Tell the person giving you the vaccine if you have any severe allergies.

2009 H1N1 LAIV should not be given to the following groups:

  1. Pregnant women,
  2. Children younger than 2 and adults 50 years and older,
  3. Children younger than 5 years with asthma or one or more episodes of wheezing during the past year,
  4. Children or adolescents on long-term aspirin treatment.
