My Biography

Although I am originally from Southern California, I feel right at home here in the San Francisco Bay Area. I decided to work at Kaiser Permanente's Chemical Dependency Recovery Program (CDRP) because I heard that the program was a dynamic and wonderful one. One of the great features of our program is that it offers quick and speedy access to high-quality treatment. We also offer a breadth and depth of services for our diverse, chemically-dependent individuals and their family members.

I have a longstanding personal and professional commitment to working in the field of Chemical Dependency. It is incredibly rewarding to work with the recovering person as well with their families. I find the resilience of our patients to be inspiring and very gratifying. Our patients’ ability to turn their lives around so that they achieve their incredible potential is an amazing process to witness, and constitutes one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work.

I am also interested in working with family members and helping them learn about family recovery and the concept of codependency. Other areas of interest include administering psychological testing in order to better formulate a patient’s treatment plan, and providing time-limited couples’ and family work. One of the ways in which I help myself to Thrive is to spend time with family and friends and to remind myself to be grateful for what I have. Outside of work, I am an avid San Francisco Giants and Cal Bears football fan!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
