Welcome to my home page!

I’m one of the Pediatric Hospitalists here at Kaiser Hayward and my primary goal is to provide the best care for your child during his/her hospital stay. I am dedicated to listening and respecting the concerns of my patients and their family. As I have learned over the years, no one knows and advocates for their child better than a parent. I hope that if I ever have the privilege of caring for your child we can work together to provide the best care possible.

As a Pediatric Hospitalist, I only work within the hospital setting, whether it is on the Pediatric Wards, Nursery or the Emergency room. This type of medical setting can be a frightening and overwhelming experience for many families, but we in Pediatrics are dedicated to providing excellent medical care that is personalized, caring, kind and professional to all of our patients and their families. My philosophy is to treat your child as if they were my own.

Biographic Information
I am originally from Southern California but I have been a very happy Bay Area resident for the last 15 years when I first moved to San Francisco for Medical School.

I went to UCLA for my undergraduate studies where I majored in Biology. I was elected into Phi Beta Kappa & graduated Summa Cum Laude with highest honors in 1992, and after a year of research in the laboratory I applied and was accepted into medical school.

I received a scholarship to attend UCSF for the next 4 years, receiving a very comprehensive medical education. Due to my strong interest in community health & working with underserved communities, after finishing medical school I decided to attend UC Berkeley to study Public Health. This background has given me a much more global perspective on medicine.

After receiving my Masters in Public Health, I returned to UCSF to begin my Pediatric internship and residency. Upon completion of my Pediatric training, I was chosen to be a Chief Resident, which gave me the opportunity to both continue to learn and to teach. I received several awards, including teaching awards, induction into the medical honor society AOA, & an award that is given annually to the resident who best exemplifies clinical excellence, empathy & compassion for patients and support for their fellow colleagues. These years were some of the hardest, but also the most rewarding because they gave me my first true experience in working directly with children and their families.

In 2003, I came to Kaiser Hayward to become one of the full time Pediatric Hospitalists. I can honestly say that the pediatricians that I work with here at Hayward are some of the best that I have ever met. You can be sure that your child will be well cared for in the department of Pediatrics at Hayward.

I have many interests and enjoy doing many different things, including cooking, reading, seeing films, dancing and laughing. Most recently I married a wonderful man and just gave birth to a beautiful little boy who makes each day even brighter than the day before.

It has been extremely rewarding to be able to do what I love and I never cease to be amazed at the resiliency of children and the love of their parents.

Thank you for the honor of letting me care for your child, it truly is a privilege.
