How to Use My Home Page...

My Biography

I was born in San Francisco but spent most of my childhood in Daly City and Hawaii.

I enjoy traveling, running, snowboarding, mountain biking, reading, listening to music and keeping up with the latest consumer electronics.

After spending 11 years in various modes of practice, I was attracted to Kaiser Permanente because I could concentrate on patient care without concerning myself with operating a business.

The Kaiser Permanente comprehensive care model also gives me instant access to any specialty where I can make patient referrals in a seamless matter. I enjoy working in this team like setting. The scope of my knowledge and my practice has grown since being at Kaiser Permanente because I get to co-manage cases with our various ophthalmology specialists. I have a special interest in pediatric optometry.

I THRIVE by following healthy eating habits, exercising regularly and spending quality time with my wife, Eileen and my son, Ethan.

Undergraduate Education: BS in Biology, University of the Pacific
Optometry School and Graduate Education: OD, University of Houston College of Optometry
Internships: Barbers Point Naval Air Station Medical Clinic, Hawaii; Bellaire Eye Associates, Houston; Lighthouse of Houston, Texas
Began Practice: 1992
Joined Kaiser Permanente: 2003

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
