I'd like to tell you a little about my practice, my family and me.

My Journey

I completed my basic medical education at the Grant Medical College, Bombay. This was followed by internship and residency at the Western Pennsylvania / Allegheny Health System in Pittsburgh, PA. I was always fascinated by the constant advances and cutting-edge research in the field of Oncology and so, moved to Philadelphia, PA. to pursue a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the Thomas Jefferson University. After completing my fellowship, I moved west and joined the Permanente Medical Group in July '03.... and I am loving every moment!!

My Practice

As an oncologist/hematologist, I firmly believe that treating the person is as important as treating the disease. I chose this specific field of medicine as it provides the best opportunity for making a difference in people's lives. I strive to provide the best possible care and look forward to receiving feedback to improve the same.

We at Kaiser not only offer state of art treatment but also provide an opportunity to participate in cutting-edge research. Our dedicated clinical trials nurses Kristine and Josephine work closely with the physicians to facilitate participation in the many clinical trials open at our facility.

Hillary from Social Services is another indispensible resource and always a pleasure to speak with.

My Outside Interests

I enjoy spending time with my kids, Rishab and Ria and my beautiful wife, Shanu. It is easy to spot me attempting to hit the ball at one of the many local tennis courts in the early morning hours.
