How I Got Here
I was born in Shanghai, China, where I received my MD degree. After I came to the United States, I spent 6 years in Connecticut for my residency and fellowship training. Though I love the gorgeous color during the fall season on the east coast, I enjoy the beautiful sunshine of California more.

Why Kaiser Permanente?
I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2002, right after I finished my fellowship training. Not only could I enjoy the weather here, but I could also practice medicine the way I was taught in training —evidence based, and I could focus on patient care without thinking or dealing with the business part of the practice. Additionally, I don’t have to call the insurance company for approvals.
My Practice Philosophy
My practice philosophy is that a person’s quality of life is important to keep in mind while practicing the art/science of oncology.
My Outside Interests
As a mom of two boys, I enjoy spending time with them. The train museum is the place we visit most frequently. My husband and I also love to travel and do outdoor activities. I plan to learn gardening too.
