I'm happy that you decided to visit my hompage. It is designed to help answer some questions about hematology and oncology. Just click to the left for various topics.

I was born in Louisiana. I graduated from Louisiana State University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology. I received my medical degree in 1996 from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois. I completed an internship in 1997 and medical residency in 1999 at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. During the year 2000, I was chosen as Chief Medical Resident for the Department of Medicine at Louisiana State University. I went on to complete a fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology in 2003 at the LSU Health Sciences Center through the Stanley Scott Cancer Center. I am board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. I am an Associate Member of the American Society of Oncology, American Society of Hematology and the American College of Physicians.

I joined Kaiser Permanente Medical Group in August of 2003. I currently chair the Redwood City Kaiser Regional Breast Cancer Task Force. I like practicing at Kaiser Permanente because they encourage patients and the health care team to become familiar with each other so the patient is not just a number and the health care team is not a revolving door. “Familiarity begets caring.”

My Practice Philosophy is to “Cure those you can and comfort those you can’t.”

I live in the Bay Area and my personal interests include singing and traveling.
