Welcome to My Home Page

Thank you for visiting my home page. This page gives me the opportunity to introduce myself to the patients as well as to point my patients to some information about spine problems and treatment.

About Me

I was born and raised in a physician’s family. Since both my parents were doctors (my father was an urologist and my mother was a pediatrician) I was exposed to the fun of medicine from my earliest years. While in high school I knew already that I would be a doctor. I received my medical degree from St. Petersburg State Pediatric Medical Academy. After I moved to the United States, I completed my internship at St. Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and my residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2003. I chose to come to Kaiser Permanente because I agree with the philosophy of a strong commitment to preventive medicine and disease management. We are able to provide high quality medicine based on the physician’s decision making without influence of third parties.

My primary job is to evaluate and provide treatment recommendations for patients at the Spine Care Consultation Clinic at our Martinez Medical Offices.

My clinical interests include diseases of the spine and muskuloskeletal system. I‘m pleased to be part of your medical team.

In my spare time I enjoy hiking, biking, and traveling with my wife and two kids.

I’m fluent in Russian.

My Credentials

Medical school St. Petersburg State Pediatric Medical Academy, St. Petersburg, Russian Fed.
Residency Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA
Board certification Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehab

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
