Welcome to My Home Page
Welcome and thank you for visiting my Kaiser Permanente home page! Since there isn’t always ample opportunity to tell you about my background and interests, this is a great way for you to get to know a little more about me! Additionally, you can access Internet health care resources, make appointments, and refill your prescriptions.
Why I Chose Medicine
I chose medicine because it was a challenging career which allowed me to serve others. I believe that the root of my interest in medicine comes from my upbringing. My parents were often involved in community activities while I was growing up. It seemed as though they were always assisting others in one way or another, whether it was participating in a worthwhile fundraiser, helping with soup kitchens, or lending a thoughtful ear. It seems only natural that my career choice be in an area such as medicine, where I strive to help others.
I was born in Athens, Greece, and moved to Erie, Pennsylvania, at the age of six. I lived in Erie until I went off to college at Boston University in Massachusetts. I spent a few more years in Boston after graduation working in research while applying to medical school. My medical school education was split; it began in Pennsylvania and was completed in California, where my new wife and I planned to start a family. Finally, my residency training in internal medicine took us to the small town of French Camp, near Stockton, California. The first job I accepted was at Kaiser Permanente, in July 2003.
Why I Chose Kaiser Permanente
I joined Kaiser Permanente because I thought it would be a good place to start my medical career. Without the added stresses of office and financial management issues, I felt that I would be able to focus on what is important, the patient...You! Working here, I have experienced a more efficient way to practice medicine; through teamwork. Our team includes a number of specialty nurses, a nutritionist, clinical psychologist, and clinical pharmacists. I came to Kaiser Permanente because I wanted to care for people and practice medicine. I came to the right place!
My Practice Philosophy
I believe that my job is to help optimize the quality of each individual’s health. Providing education is one way to execute this task; support and encouragement is another. I find that education is empowering. It provides people with the tools necessary to combat their conditions as well as understand the importance of living a healthy life. Along with knowledge, I value fostering a partnership filled with support and encouragement to achieve and maintain wellness.
Getting Personal
My wife and young son and daughter help to balance out my busy days at Kaiser Permanente. Outside of work and family, I enjoy the outdoors and activities such as golfing, running, swimming, and reading for leisure. Additionally, I am fine-tuning my chess playing skills in order to keep up with my young son!

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
