My Biography

Kaiser Permanente provides an integrated and cost-effective manner of health care. Our providers deliver high-quality care in an efficient environment. As a medical student, I had completed a year of pathology work. One reason I decided to pursue the field after completing my clinical rotation is because most new advances in pathology usually occur in the immunohistochemistry subspecialty. At Kaiser Permanente, I can practice medicine the way I prefer.

I see a breadth of general surgical cases in our department. Regional immunohistochemistry consultative cases tend to come here. Our department sees the most challenging cases in all of northern California. I am especially interested in bone marrow and blood disorders, and hematopathology.

My beautiful wife keeps me eating right with a well-balanced diet. Since I’ve been married to her, my cholesterol levels have gone way down. During my spare time, I am a bass player and front a pop band in which my wife is the singer. Our band performs in live shows around the area. I also manage the band. Any additional leisure time I have I spend golfing. San Francisco’s temperate climate means that I can golf year-round!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
