Hello, and thank you for visiting my home page. I am an Inpatient Psychiatrist, and I take care of Kaiser Permanente members admitted at facilities outside of the South Sacramento Medical Center, usually at Sierra Vista Psychiatric Hospital.

I joined Kaiser in 2003 after finishing Psychiatric residency training at the University of Texas at Houston. I started my career in psychiatry 20 years ago in the Ukraine, and since then I have devoted my time and energy serving mentally ill people.

Hospitalization can always be seen as a critical component in treatment, and I want to help our patients through that stage. The links on my home page can be helpful for both patients and family members in educating themselves on the nature of mental illnesses and successfully coping with them. I truly believe that by working together we can make a difference and overcome the challenges presented by mental illness.

My Credentials

Medical school Donetsk Medical Institute, Donetsk, Ukraine
Residency University of Texas Mental Sciences Institute, Houston, TX
Board certification Psychiatry, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
