Health Classes at Kaiser Permanente
A variety of classes are offered to support your health care. Some are described below. Click here to find classes in your area.

Pathways to Stress Reduction
A single-session class that explains how stress can lead to physical symptoms. You will learn what happens in your body during the “stress response” and what you can do about it. Relaxation techniques are explained and practiced. This class also gives information about the Mind Body Medicine class series and other Kaiser Permanente resources.

Mind-Body Medicine Program
A multi-session class that will show you connections between the stresses in your life and your physical symptoms or medical problems. This class teaches relaxation techniques, self-care skills and other coping methods. This class is designed to increase your ability to handle daily stress, decrease your physical symptoms and enhance your overall sense of well-being.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
A multi-session class aimed at reducing pain and and physical symptoms by teaching coping skills abilities based on mindfulness meditation. Positive health attitudes and behaviors are promoted, as well as a deeper awareness of one’s self and the world.
