About the Department of Anesthesiology

The Department of Anesthesiology at Kaiser--Permanente Medical Center in Santa Rosa includes anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists, and anesthesia technicians working together as an Anesthesia Care Team. We use a wide variety of state-of-the-art techniques to provide a safe and comfortable surgical experience for our patients.

Prior to surgery we will evaluate you and make a recommendation regarding which anesthetic approach might work best for you given your health history and type of surgery. Please feel free to ask questions about the anesthetic and postoperative pain control options available.

If you would like to get to know us a little better, please click on the Clinicians link on the left to see a list of our provider home pages. At the provider home pages, you can view pictures, learn about our educational backgrounds, and get a sense of our approach to anesthesia and our personal interests.

Click the "Learn More About Anesthesia" link on the left to access a wealth of information about anesthesia including our informational brochure ," Your Anesthetic Care". This concise overview describes the preoperative consultation, guidelines for eating and drinking before surgery, the three basic categories of anesthesia, and what to expect after surgery.

Our patients' safety and comfort are our primary goals. We are happy to provide you with skilled and professional anesthetic services and advice throughout your surgical experience and hospital stay.
