Welcome to my home page! I am delighted to have you visit.
How I came to Join Kaiser
I come to Kaiser in a peripatetic fashion. After finishing my Emergency Medicine residency training at Harbor-UCLA in 1992, I entered the U.S. Air Force to pay back my obligation for being a part of their Health Professions Scholarship Program. Concurrently, I have worked within the fee-for-service sector in South Sacramento since 1992, and through my own associations, or through my husband (who is also an emergency physician — he works at Sacramento), I either personally know of or have knowledge of almost all of the emergency medical groups and physicians in our area. And so, it is after having “been there and done that,” I can tell you that I frequently feel so very fortunate in having found such a wonderful opportunity here at Kaiser Sacramento.
For more information on why Kaiser's emergency care is so wonderful, you can read my colleagues’ home pages to learn about how Kaiser has been light-years ahead of all of the other emergency departments in the city with regards to digital medical records and radiography as well as electronic prescriptions, and how we are able to offer exceptional aftercare to specialists for our Kaiser members, unparalleled in Sacramento Emergency Medicine. Our most recent addition to technological superiority is a patient’s ability to e-mail your doctor directly. We are always continuing to improve the quality of medical care as well as the way that we care for patients.
My Family
As you have already learned, I am married. I have a very handsome husband, who watched me thrive within Kaiser, and ultimately decided to leave the fee-for-service sector as well, and join me at Kaiser. Can you find him among our physicians’ home pages? Last, but hardly least, click onto my link, “My Family,” to see my beautiful girls. They were born in 1998.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
