My Practice Philosophy

Clinically, my interests lie in infertility evaluation, pregnancy, colposcopy, and preventive medicine. Surgically, I believe in minimally invasive approaches to treating fibroids, ovarian cysts, and hysterectomy via laparoscopic surgery and mini-laparotomy techniques. I also enjoy instructing residents and medical students. Philosophically, I respect patients’ preferences and goals when formulating a treatment plan. In addition, I believe weight management and physical fitness is a very important aspect of health maintenance.

About Me

I am a graduate of the University of Chicago. After graduating from Northwestern University Medical School in 1994, I completed my residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago in 1998. During residency, I was awarded Resident of the Year and received recognition for my skills in laparoscopy and primary care medicine. I then joined a private practice at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for over four years. In 2002, I had the opportunity to move to the Bay Area to join Kaiser Permanente.

My Interests

In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and our three children. I also enjoy running, skiing, cooking, and learning to play piano.

I want to be certain all of your concerns are addressed. If you forget to ask a question during your visit, you may leave me a message at (650) 903-3020. Either, I, or my medical assistant, will return your call.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
