Welcome to my web-site!
I was born in London, England and as a child, my family immigrated to the United States, settling in Berkeley, California. I graduated with honors from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Computer Science. I received my medical degree from the University of California, Irvine. I completed my internship at the University of California, Davis and residency at the University of California, San Francisco.
I joined the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group in 1987. After initially working in Santa Clara Kaiser, in the Emergency Department, I came to Milpitas Kaiser as part of the Urgent Care department (now known as Primary Care Unit E). As a physician in Primary Care Unit E, I treat patients with traumatic injuries (such as fractures, sprains, lacerations and wounds), as well as perform minor surgical and therapeutic procedures.
My major area of practice now is in Occupational Medicine, a specialty that I have worked in since 1991. As an occupational medicine specialist, I treat work-related injuries, the goal being to restore workers to good health while minimizing the time lost from productive employment.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
