About Me

Please allow me to introduce myself to you. I was born in China. Like many other children, I dreamed of flying in the sky and sailing in the ocean. However I chose medicine as my career when I grew up. After many years of medical practice, more and more I believe that I made the right decision and that it is a great privilege for me to practice medicine. I feel it is my duty to help patients live a healthier and happier life. Skin is the biggest organ of the body, and it presents beauty as well as all kinds of problems or diseases as it ages (or even when it is still young). While I see a patient as an integrated body, I am especially interested in seeing patients with skin illness and helping them. Please, let’s work together to cope with your skin problems.

I went to medical school in China and worked as an assistant professor in the dermatology department of a university hospital for many years. I again had my resident training here in internal medicine in Mount Sinai School of Medicine. I am a member of American Medical Association, American Academy of Dermatology, and International Symposium of Cosmetic and Laser Surgery.

I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2002 and I have been enjoying the practice since the first day here. If you are not a Kaiser Permanente member already, I strongly encourage you join if you are still looking for the right place for your or your family's health care.

In my leisure time, I spend time with my family and make sure I have several hours of exercising each week. I am married and have two children.

My Credentials

Medical school Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Hangzhou, China
Internship Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, NY
Residency North Central Bronx Hospital, Bronx, NY
Board certification Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
