My Practice Philosophy

I firmly believe in the philosophical approach of our organization, which is driven by the needs of our members and our responsibility to the many communities we serve. This philosophy includes a focus on wellness, personalized care, commitment to excellence and a team approach. It is my goal to extend this philosophy during your office visit. I look forward to taking care of your dermatologic concerns.

About Me

I am a native Californian and was born and raised in the bay area. In 1988, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of San Francisco. In 1995, I earned a Masters of Science degree in Nursing and a Nurse Practitioner certificate from San Francisco State University. Upon completion of my studies, I joined the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group where I have spent my entire nursing career.

In 1988, I began my career in the Emergency Department at the Santa Clara Medical Center. My experience in this fast-paced environment with unpredictable patient volume and acuity has provided the strong foundation for the skills that I use today. In 1995, I began working in the Internal Medicine department where I enjoyed providing comprehensive care to a large panel of patients. In 2000, I joined the team at the Mountain View Medical offices, working in the Dermatology department. I like my work and appreciate having the opportunity to provide quality care across the life span for a wide range of both acute and chronic skin conditions.

My Interests

In my spare time, I enjoy current events, reading, gardening and spending time with family.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
