To My Patients:

Welcome to my internet home page. This site is designed to provide you with information concerning medical imaging that you can use, as we strive to serve you better.

About Me

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and graduated high school in Pacific Palisades, CA. I received my medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine, Boston, MA. I then completed an internship from the MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, ND. After that, I spent a few years at the Oregon Health Sciences University Hospital, Portland, OR to complete my residency. After spending many years outside of California, I decided to return to California to complete a fellowship with University of California Davis Medical Center at Sacramento.

After completing my training, I immediately started working for Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento and recently took an exciting offer to work at Kaiser Permanente Modesto.

My medical interests are mostly center around interventional radiology such as the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral vascular diseases, embolization for abdominal tumors, embolization for symptomatic uterine fibroids, treating renal and biliary diseases. I am also interested in the history of medicine.

During my leisure time, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, camping and reading.

My Philosophy of Care

I believe in a team approach to practicing medicine – even in the Department of Radiology. It’s very important in this day and age. The days of the solo practitioner are long gone. No one person can provide complete care for any one patient. Medicine has become too advanced – technologically and pharmacologically – and it’s impossible for one person to know everything. That’s why there currently are subspecialties and even specialization within subspecialties such as interventional radiology. With this much compartmentalization, communication becomes very important. Everyone has a role to fulfill – from the front desk secretary to file room clerk to the technologist to the nurse to the doctor whether it is in radiology, oncology or surgery in providing patient care. It is from this team approach that I believe patients get the best care.

This teamwork approach to medicine is very much fostered by The Permanente Medical Group. It was something I found and still do find very attractive. This was one of the main reasons why I joined The Permanente Medical Group initially and to this day remain with Kaiser Permanente even after having to transfer jobs for family reasons.

I look forward to meeting you, providing you with as much information as possible to make informed decisions. I will do my best to offer state of the art, safe, sensible procedures to ease your pain and suffering and to improve your health, and therefore your quality of life.

Our entire Radiology Department and I want to be certain that all of your concerns are addressed. If you need to schedule an appointment in the Department of Radiology or you have questions about your care in our department, please call (209) 735-6250. For results of your screening, please contact your primary care provider. Thank you.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
