My Biography

I knew about Kaiser Permanente San Francisco because two of my friends from optometry school worked here. Because of Kaiser Permanente’s comprehensive care structure, my role is not to just treat patients when they are ailing, but to care about preventative medicine and the overall well-being of patients. Instead of having to worry about issues relating to insurance, I can focus on caring for my patients.

During my practice, I have the opportunity to interface with people from all over the world, including both members and colleagues, a direct benefit of living in a cosmopolitan city such as San Francisco. I am especially interested in working with difficult contact lens cases that other practitioners tend to avoid or refer to others.

I enjoy studying languages, and I have studied several: Greek, Russian, and Mandarin Chinese. However, I am not yet entirely fluent in these. When I am away from work, I enjoy playing music on a semi-professional basis, and traveling.

Many people have Laser Vision Correction done so that they are no longer dependent on glasses or contact lenses for distance vision. Individuals over 40 will still need glasses for reading after Laser Vision Correction to correct both eyes for distance.
