San Francisco Medical Center is one of two locations in Northern California where we offer cardiovascular surgery. Our program has a long and distinguished history: We’ve been caring for our members’ hearts at San Francisco Medical Center for more than 22 years. Together with our East Bay location at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, we’ve established a hub for cardiovascular surgery in the Bay Area that is fully integrated with our local cardiac care programs.

You may have to travel farther to get to us, but you’ll receive your care from one of the largest cardiovascular surgery programs in the state. You can feel confident knowing that your medical team has performed and supported thousands of cases, bringing expertise and experience to every procedure.

Driving directions to our San Francisco Medical Center:
• 2200 O'Farrell Street is located between Divisadero and St. Joseph streets.
• 2425 Geary Blvd. is also located between Divisadero and Masonic streets, on the opposite side of the street.
• Parking for both locations is located at 2190 O’Farrell St.

From the East Bay, Fresno, and Sacramento:
Take freeway 80 heading west across the Bay Bridge.

From the South:
Take highway 101 heading north.

From the East Bay, Fresno, Sacramento, and locations south of San Francisco:
Take the 9th Street exit toward Civic Center/Golden Gate Bridge. Turn left on Harrison Street. Turn right on 9th Street. Turn left on Hayes Street. Turn right on Franklin Street. Turn left on Geary Boulevard and continue to our medical center parking structures on your right.

From Marin:
Take highway 101 heading south to the Lombard Street exit. Merge onto Lombard Street. Turn right on Divisadero Street. Turn right on Geary Boulevard.

Public transportation:
• MUNI: The 38 Geary bus travels east and west on Geary Boulevard. Other MUNI buses that stop near our buildings are the 43 Masonic and the 24 Divisadero.
• BART: Exit at the Montgomery station. Board the 38 Geary MUNI bus at the corner of Market Street and Geary Boulevard.
