How to Use My Home Page...

My Biography

I work part time at the Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center and full time at Highland Hospital. I started my career as a Registered Nurse and chose to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist because of the increased autonomy and learning opportunities.

I truly enjoy my co-workers here and the efficient way in which the Anesthesia Department is run. Everyone works together to do the best for the patient. We also have a computerized medical record here, so it is very easy to look up medical information right away and learn more about the patient’s medical history. I love everything about my job, and I’m particularly interested in regional blocks. It is amazing that a patient can receive surgery and then wake up with so little pain.

Outside of the OR, I am taking drawing classes and I stay in shape by working out at the gym two to three times per week. I enjoy spending time with my family, my significant other of over 20 years, and our 5 cats and 4 dogs.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
