My Biography
I grew up in Baltimore, having arrived from Iran at age 7 with my family. During the 1970's and 1980's, I got to see Jim Palmer, Brooks Robinson, Eddie Murray, and Cal Ripken play for the Orioles. It made me a baseball fan for life. Now, I'm lucky to have two great local teams to root for: the A's and the Giants.
In 1999, I got the opportunity to join the nationally-recognized division of cardiovascular anaesthesiology at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco. I am proud to be a member of a group of highly talented and compassionate physicians. As a group, we have a combined experience of literally tens of thousands of open heart procedures. We also have extensive experience in the management of patients in the post-surgical cardiovascular intensive care unit.
As a Kaiser Permanente physician, I am also a Kaiser Permanente patient. I strive to provide the level of care that I would expect for myself and my family. I expect nothing less from my colleagues and our allied healthcare providers. In my spare time I enjoy building computers, woodworking, camping, hiking, scuba diving and spending time with my wife, daughter, and new puppy, Miles.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
