How to Use My Home Page...

My Biography

A friend who works at the South San Francisco Kaiser Permanente facility suggested that I “try out” a position with the organization. It is now 17 years later, and I have never left. Even after these many years, it is my opinion that San Francisco Medical Center is still the best setting for me to practice optometry. I enjoy the patient population’s diversity and the span of issues I get to treat.

The Kaiser Permanente care model is a strong one, owing to the integration of care amongst providers. There is no need to reach outside of the system to do referrals or get a patient in to see a specialist. We have every option available onsite.

I believe in wellness and I help myself achieve it in several ways. I include plenty of fruit in my diet, including blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries. I also eat a lot of broccoli, and I enjoy good red wine. Outside of work, I enjoy golf, cycling, speedy cars, Star Trek trivia, and truly bad Japanese sci-fi movies.

Many people have Laser Vision Correction done so that they are no longer dependent on glasses or contact lenses for distance vision. Individuals over 40 will still need glasses for reading after Laser Vision Correction to correct both eyes for distance.
