How to Use My Home Page...

My Biography

I have always been attracted to Kaiser Permanente’s mission of health maintenance and focus on preventative medicine. Within this comprehensive care model, I am able to take advantage of the significant array of resources that a large medical center affords. Our department practitioners demonstrate an intense commitment to superb patient care and to efficient customer service. We work in small-team settings.

I love our patient population. I have opportunities to work with a wide range of people, including those who have immigrated from other countries, as my own grandparents did. I have several areas of special focus: work stress, mindfulness practice as it relates to anxiety disorders and depression, and dialectical behavior therapy.

When I am not seeing patients, I like snowboarding, hiking, camping, skateboarding, and softball. I am a huge sports fan and a major Sharks fan! I also consider myself to be something of a geology geek. I ride my bike or walk every day. I live with my partner of 28 years, my teenage son, and two cats.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
