My Biography

Kaiser Permanente San Francisco is the center of excellence for cardiology in northern California. We maintain a research-based practice in this department, and I work with supportive staff and clinicians in a collegial atmosphere. As a nurse practitioner, I have a real chance to impact patients’ health outcomes in a positive way. Patients have told me that they appreciate the personal care they receive here and more than one has told me that they are certain Kaiser handled their cardiac care more quickly than other medical centers. Although I am experienced across a broad range of cardiac issues, congestive heart failure and geriatrics have long been areas of particular interest to me. I am also interested in evidence-based practices.

I THRIVE by trying to walk or do the rebounder, especially on my days off. I eat a low-fat diet and love vegetables to the point that, if I had to do without them, I would go into withdrawal! During my free time I like to spend time with my husband and our kitties, read, cook, and bake. Being from Louisiana, I have always loved spicy foods and have found several ways to cut the fat and calories and still keep dishes tasty. I love our small yard, trees, and our roses.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
