My Biography

Kaiser Permanente is a terrific medical center, and it is also a supportive organization in which to work. The Physical Therapy department provides a collegial environment. The opportunities for educational advancement and professional development are numerous. In my practice, I work with a broad variety of members and enjoy a good deal of professional autonomy. I am in a position to assist with the many different problems that members present. Working with Kaiser Permanente’s members is a rewarding aspect of my work, in part because they tend to be highly motivated to participate actively in their care, to learn, and improve.

One of the greatest strengths of Kaiser’s health care system is, of course, its comprehensive, integrated approach. Physicians, specialists, pharmacies, laboratory, health education, and preventative health services – all are centralized on campus. Our electronic medical charting tool, Health Connect, allows the providers on a patient’s care team to review full medical histories at a glance and has enhanced provider communication as well.

Areas of particular interest to me include ergonomic issues and coordination of clinical physical therapy education. I am on our Local Product Council and also on a committee which oversees our orthopedic supply stores at our French and Geary campuses.

Outside of the medical center, I enjoy spending time with my family and am active in church activities. I frequent farmers’ markets and try to avoid processed foods. I stay active through hiking and working out at the gym. I truly look forward to welcoming and working with you at San Francisco Medical Center!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
