My Biography

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Virginia, and completed my medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. I completed an internship at the University of Texas at Houston and Affiliated Hospitals in Houston, and an anesthesia residency at Massachusetts General Hospital.

After serving as a clinical fellow in cardiac anesthesia at Massachusetts General Hospital, I began my practice by joining Kaiser Permanente San Francisco in 1982.
