How to Use My Home Page...

My Biography

I have many good friends and professional colleagues who work at the Kaiser Permanente Optometry Department, and I relish the camaraderie we share amongst ourselves. Our department has an outstanding reputation for patient care. We also have state-of-the-art equipment. In Kaiser’s health care system, I am able to focus on providing care without the added burden or distractions of coordinating insurance claims and processing paperwork. I can focus fully on maximizing my time with patients. Patients receive the best health care in an efficient manner.

Kaiser Permanente’s multidisciplinary approach to health care allows the patient to receive complete care in a seamless fashion. Members enjoy an array of benefits within this comprehensive model, including access to online resources such as appointment scheduling, prescription refills, and the ability to review laboratory results. Through the Secure Messaging feature, members may also communicate with providers through a confidential system.

I have been in the field of optometry since high school. My first job was doing maintenance and clerical work for an optometry office in San Francisco's Chinatown. As an army optometrist, I have enhanced my clinical knowledge and skills by practicing in different facilities and with various types of equipment. Thanks to the Army, I have traveled all over the world and throughout the United States. Needless to say, the Army Reserve consumes most of my free time. I enjoy watching movies and going to local sports events. I love the Warriors and 49ers! I try to attend a few games each season. I keep active by taking long walks, running, and working out.

Many people have Laser Vision Correction done so that they are no longer dependent on glasses or contact lenses for distance vision. Individuals over 40 will still need glasses for reading after Laser Vision Correction to correct both eyes for distance.
