My Biography

I received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from UCLA and my Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Southern California, then completed a residency in General Surgery and a specialty fellowship in Thoracic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. I am board certified by the American Board of Surgery in Surgery, and Surgical Critical Care, and by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. In practice since 1992, I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2000, and am a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Outside of the operating room, I enjoy sailing.
