My Biography

I came to work at Kaiser Permanente because I believe it is the nation’s leader in health care. I also appreciate the fact that Kaiser values a diverse, highly-trained workforce. In the Chronic Pain Management Center, patients always come first, and they benefit from Kaiser’s comprehensive care model. One of the major strengths of this model is that providers can obtain specialist consultations or referrals for patients in a seamless manner.

I truly enjoy taking excellent care of my patients. I enjoy listening to their concerns, answering their questions, and explaining medical conditions and procedures. I want patients to fully understand their medical situation. I take pride in performing procedures carefully and safely. While my background includes a broad range of experiences, I am particularly interested in spinal injections for pain relief, advanced technologies of intrathecal pumps, and spinal cord stimulators for pain treatment. I also follow trends in the measurement of treatment outcomes. One way in which I keep current with developments in my field is by attending the annual meeting of the American Academy of Pain Medicine.

During my leisure time, I like to bicycle, read, hike, and learn to play the fiddle. I keep active by exercising daily and eating healthy. I look forward to working with you at San Francisco Medical Center.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
