My Biography

I am a native Californian who was raised here in the Bay area. The multicultural environment, excellent residency program, and Spanish-speaking clientele encouraged me to come to Kaiser Permanente. One of the facets of my practice that I most enjoy is developing long-term relationships with patients, and getting to know them and their families. Working on the Spanish module, I deliver culturally sensitive healthcare to our large Spanish-speaking population. I partner with my patients to help them take control of their own health through positive habits and exercise. I maintain a special interest in the area of women’s health and medical education.

I have found my patients’ humor, as well as their ability to incorporate changes into their lives for healthier outcomes, to be surprising, rewarding, and fulfilling aspects of my practice.

I enjoy traveling, reading novels, and spending time with my husband and two young daughters. I endeavor to achieve balance in my home life, and I engage in regular exercise such as running, lifting weights, and bicycling.

Other Languages: Spanish
Special Interest: Young adult patients (age 18-25).
Professional Affiliations: American Medical Women's Association

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
