Michael R. Lauer, MD Department of Electrophysiology

Dr. Michael R. Lauer received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin. His internship and residency training were completed at Stanford University Hospital. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
Dr. Lauer joined the Permanente Medical Group in 1993 and is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) at the Stanford University School of Medicine. In that role he teaches aspiring Electrophysiologists the techniques and clinical skills necessary to become certified Cardiac Electrophysiologists.
His professional interest involves the detection and treatment of Cardiac Arrhythmias. In his free time, he has published numerous articles in the field of cardiac Electrophysiology and is the co-author of a textbook of cardiac Electrophysiology entitled "Fundamental Approaches to the Management of Cardiac Arrhythmias".
