My Biography

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University and my medical degree from the University of California at San Diego, I completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California at San Francisco. Returning to Stanford, I completed a specialty fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Since joining Kaiser Permanente in 1980, I have been practicing pulmonary and critical care medicine. As past Chief of Patient Education, I am committed to improving service and patient satisfaction at our medical center. When not caring for my patients, I enjoy hiking, biking, tennis, and travel.
