My Biography

I am a native of Sacramento, California and recently moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. I graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelors of Music degree with emphasis in violin performance. I received my medical degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and returned to Sacramento to complete my pediatric residency program at University of California Davis Medical Center. I have been with the Permanente Medical Group at South Sacramento since July 2000 before transferring to South San Francisco in June 2002. I work on education initiatives as this medical center's Women's Health liaison and co-chair of our Physician Health and Satisfaction Committee.

Outside of work, I enjoy the symphony, broadway musicals, and the performing arts. I continue to play the violin, performing in a doctors’ string quartet at Kaiser South Sacramento, and currently with other musician physicians at Kaiser South San Francisco Medical Center events. I am married and speak medical Spanish.

Please call to make an appointment prior to arriving in the clinic, as we do not have appointments available for walk-in patients.

I look forward to helping ensure that our services meet your needs and expectations. Our goal at Kaiser Permanente is to be your health plan of choice and deliver the quality medical care our members deserve. Thank you again for choosing Kaiser Permanente and me as your child's personal care physician.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
