My Biography
I grew up as a Kaiser Permanente patient, and my parents remain members to this day. All of my interactions with Kaiser Permanente have been positive. With a reputation of great patient care and an amazing network of providers, Kaiser’s comprehensive health care system runs like a well-oiled machine. We emphasize keeping people healthy through preventative practices and proactive measures. Our system allows me to provide the best care for patients, especially with a team-oriented approach where I can easily consult my colleagues in other specialties. In addition, the state-of-the-art electronic medical record system at Kaiser makes the delivery of patient care safer and provides an incredible resource upon which to draw when attempting to answer research questions that can directly impact and improve patient care.
I enjoy caring for women with complex medical issues and being able to educate patients with difficult chronic conditions that may change or require additional care during pregnancy, such as diabetes. Caring for women with high-risk pregnancies and seeing them through to healthy births is an incredibly rewarding experience for me. Within my field, my research interests include various perinatal outcomes, obstetric ultrasound, as well as the prenatal diagnosis of genetic syndromes. I have a particular interest in prenatal genetics, including genetic screening and testing as well as obstetric ultrasound.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, and cooking. I THRIVE through hatha yoga and staying active in general. Although a challenging work-in-progress, I try to serve healthy foods and encourage healthy eating habits at home, which does require some effort to plan and prepare healthy meals for my three picky, little eaters!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
