About Me

I am a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. I grew up in Southern California where I completed both medical school and an orthopedic residency at the University of Southern California. I migrated to Northern California in 1998, and have been working here at Kaiser ever since.

I am a general orthopedic surgeon who performs a variety of operations. I particularly enjoy performing hip and knee replacements, as well as trauma and hand surgery. I also take care of patients with malunions (bones that heal crooked) and nonunions (bones that don’t heal).

One of the things I like best about Kaiser is that I have a tremendous amount of autonomy here. My patients and I are able to work together, discuss the available treatment options, and tailor their treatment to match their needs.

My Credentials

Medical school University of Southern California School of Medicine, Los Angeles, CA
Residency Los Angeles County/University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA
Board certification Orthopedic Surgery, American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
